The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Hunt for a Cure committee has begun planning for the fifth Annual Spring Egg Hunt. The event takes place April 4 at Queeny Park, where 60,000 eggs filled with assorted goodies will be hidden along the bunny trails. (Pictured, above)

Winter Opera St. Louis hosted its annual benefit at Dominic’s, where guests dined on a four-course meal and enjoyed performances between courses. Event proceeds support Winter Opera’s resident artist program and its eighth season.

The inaugural ‘Bucking for Babies’ event, held by the Nurses For Newborns Foundation, raised $30,000 to support efforts to provide in-home nursing visits that promote health care, education and positive parenting skills.

Creve Coeur Chief of Police Glenn Eidman was the 2014 recipient of the Donald ‘Red’ Loehr Outstanding Police Chief Award presented by the Missouri Police Chief’s Association. Chief Eidman is a 35-year veteran of the force and has served as Chief of Police since 2008.

snotes-Fleur de Lis Group awarded a $3,000 prize to the Fontbonne University women’s softball team for winning the snotes fundraising contest. The team recruited 105 donors who invested in the online encrypted message company as part of the start-up’s fundraising campaign on Indiegogo.
