Stephanie Connell says she loves St. Louis for its Midwestern values, and because it is home. She grew up in Town & Country in the house where her parents still live, and she now makes that city one of her areas of specialty. She took to real estate in 2002 after tiring of the pharmaceutical business. “There was too much travel involved, and I had young children,” she says. She has been an agent at Gladys Manion Real Estate ever since then, and last year, sold more than $15 million in homes throughout the central corridor.

What qualities make this a great neighborhood?

What is your favorite thing about the area?
The house I grew up in. It was a happy childhood; I had some great times there.

What sets Town & Country apart from other areas in St. Louis?
It’s much more spread out. It’s more country, less town.
