29 Glenview Road

When Nadim Qureshi and his family saw the home on Glenview Road, they fell in love with it. The five-bedroom house with five full bathrooms and two half baths was perfect for their family of five. “The lot itself is high up, and I wanted land for landscaping,” Qureshi says. “My wife fell in love with the kitchen, and we both loved the design and layout. It’s very welcoming, beautiful and warm.”

Sitting on 1.48 acres of land in a cul de sac, the two-story house was the Qureshis’ home for about four years. They loved entertaining indoors and outdoors. “My favorite place was the backyard,” Qureshi says. “We spent quite a bit of time grilling and entertaining. I had plans to reshape the backyard with serious landscaping, although part of me loved the simplicity.”

Inside, the kitchen has a nice layout and detailing the couple had not seen in other homes they toured. And even though the basement was not finished when they purchased it, Qureshi designed and finished a large space that the family used often. “We completed part of the basement to accommodate our children and their friends,” he says. “They spent a lot of time there. The area still could be doubled. I started with a nice bar and game room for adults and children. I was going to build a wine cellar but didn’t have the time. Our kids really liked the setup.”

The house, which was built in 2011 and is in the Ladue School District, also offers a location the Qureshi family couldn’t pass up. “Public and private schools are within walking distance,” he says. “The neighborhood is quiet and populated with highly educated and accomplished families. In addition to the location, we loved the lot size, quality of construction and just the comfort the home provides.”

For much of the last two years, Qureshi was commuting back and forth from New York for his job, but he didn’t like missing so much time with his 15- and 7-year old sons and his 12-year-old daughter. “Every moment in the house was precious,” he says. “We were in tears when we decided to move, but I had to move to New York City for work and living apart was getting difficult. Commuting with growing kids just became too hard.”
