When it comes to celebration, there’s nothing quite like a birthday, and West County Center in Des Peres is having a big one in 2022. While the shopping center first opened in 1969, it underwent a major expansion in 2002, bringing a revitalized retail experience to St. Louis. Now, it is marking two decades of serving the community in its new and improved capacity.

According to manager Jordan Tieber, Evereve is excited for the opportunity to participate in the giveaway. That day the store also will be hosting a style social. “Guests will not only get the chance to win Lion King tickets,” she says. “Everyone will have the opportunity to participate in our styling experience, there will be refreshments, and a 15% discount will be offered.” While Evereve has been a part of West County Center for five years, she hopes the event will offer more people a chance to discover it.
With the store’s focus on personalized styling, the April 9 event is the perfect time for people to explore this spring’s new trends. Tieber notes that there are several trends the store’s trained stylists are excited about. “Straight-legged denim is huge this season, and matching sets are going to be another big trend,” she says. “For spring and summer, Evereve also is a huge dress destination. We have you covered for all of your events. When you visit the store, you can expect to be styled from head to toe.”
For West County Center, the Lion King giveaway is one of many ways to celebrate with the community. “For our anniversary, we want to thank everyone for their continued support for the center,” senior marketing director Sean Phillips says. “People can follow us on social media or visit our website to learn more about future giveaways we’ll be hosting this year. For example, just a couple upcoming ones include tickets to The Muny and concerts like Train and New Kids on the Block.”
The shopping center also is continuing the Birthday Buddies program, which it launched to commemorate Missouri’s bicentennial last year. The initiative benefits the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, and shoppers can donate gift cards from West County Center stores to children who could use a birthday surprise. “The program has been successful beyond our expectations,” Phillips says. “So far, we have received more than 350 gift cards, totaling more than $11,000. We’re so thankful for people’s generosity and hope the program continues to thrive as part of our birthday celebration.”
