It may be true that beauty is only skin deep, but it’s also true that what you see in the mirror can be a source of unhappiness and insecurity. That’s why so many St. Louisans have turned to The Lifestyle Center, a premier medical anti-aging clinic that offers a wide range of solutions. Whether patients want to get rid of unsightly hair, wrinkles or stubborn fat, or need to treat acne or hair loss, The Lifestyle Center can help, says owner Dr. Richard Moore. “We offer a complete range of services,” he says. “We can address virtually any aesthetic need.”
A team of expertly trained health care professionals works hard to ensure each patient is pleased with the end result, Moore says. Key to achieving this goal is constant research into new methods and techniques—having access to the latest procedures and equipment gives patients more options. One newly acquired tool at The Lifestyle Center is the Venus Legacy, which tightens skin and reduces cellulite, Moore says. “It’s the best skin tightener currently on the market,” he explains. “It has the deepest penetration compared with similar devices, and it uses suction, radio frequency and magnetic pulse therapy to achieve results.”
Newly approved treatments also can come with less pain and downtime, as is the case with BodyFX, a noninvasive therapy that combines radio frequency and vacuum massage to contour the body and improve cellulite. “It can destroy 30 to 35 percent of fat cells within an inch under the skin,” Moore says. “And it comes with no downtime—patients can go right back to the gym if they wish. Compared to similar treatments, BodyFX patients experience very little discomfort and zero downtime.”
It’s not only bodies that benefit from access to the newest treatments; schedules and wallets often are happier, too. For example, to treat a variety of skin conditions, the center now offers Lumecca (also known as FotoFacial), which can accomplish in just a few treatments what used to take five, Moore says. And for patients dealing with hair loss, home laser therapy is an affordable, effective method that doesn’t interfere with a packed calendar, he adds. “It promotes growth and enhances blood flow to the scalp in just 20 or 30 minutes a day,” he explains. “Patients put on a baseball cap and have a little remote battery pack, and can just go about their day, whether it’s watching TV, walking the dog or doing dishes. It’s much less expensive than going to a physician’s office, and compliance is often much higher, too.”
The center recently moved from Forsyth Boulevard in Clayton to a new home at 10287 Clayton Road, near the intersection of Highway 40 and Lindbergh Boulevard. The new space includes better parking that’s more private, updated entry and waiting areas, and state-of-the-art treatment rooms, Moore says.
