Nurses for Newborns has elected two new board leaders. Dr. Teri Murray, dean of the Saint Louis University School of Nursing, has been named board president, and Jennifer Funk, director of finance at Brinkmann Constructors, has been named president of the Young Professionals Board.

Dan Glazier

Dan Glazier, executive director and general counsel of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, has been elected to a three-year term as the Midwest representative for the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit serving those who cannot afford counsel.

Mark Higgins

Saint Louis University is pleased to announce Mark Higgins as the new dean of the John Cook School of Business. Higgins has been a faculty member at the University of Rhode Island since 1988 and was appointed dean of its business college in 2006.

Scott Dolan

Lift for Life Academy, the first independent charter school in St. Louis, has named Scott Dolan board president. Currently senior vice president of US Bank’s Private Client Reserve, Dolan brings more than 15 years of experience in finance and banking. He also serves on the board of Catholic Charities of Saint Louis, the Saint Louis Library Foundation and The Campbell House Museum.

Christine Candio

The board of directors at St. Luke’s Hospital has appointed Christine Candio as the hospital’s new president and CEO, effective January 2015. Candio comes from Virginia, where she is CEO of a small, nonprofit hospital and senior vice president of Inova Health System.

Scott Gee

The Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis is pleased to welcome new executive director Scott Gee. Gee has worked with nonprofits for more than 23 years, most recently serving as executive director of Haven of Grace. He will lead the organization in its efforts to ensure those dealing with cancer are empowered and strengthened through support groups, educational workshops, and nutrition and exercise programs.

Rev. Amy Bertschausen

Care and Counseling, the region’s only accredited, interfaith nonprofit counseling organization, has named Rev. Amy Bertschausen its new executive director. She succeeds Rev. Dale Kuhn, who is stepping down from the position after 20 years. Bertschausen most recently served as executive director for nine years at the Samaritan Center of the Fox Valley in Wisconsin.

Robert Cooke

Robert Cooke will serve as Community School’s new head of school, effective July 2015. He currently acts as upper school director for Brentwood School in Los Angeles. Cooke has spent more than 30 years as both an educator and administrator, most of them with independent schools. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Carleton College and a master’s degree in education from Claremont Graduate University.

Ellen Curlee

The International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum has named Ellen Curlee president-elect of its board of directors. Curlee has served on the board since the museum moved to St. Louis in 2012.
