Lift for Life Academy has named Laura Kathleen Baker to its board of directors. Baker, who was a top five finalist on season nine of Project Runway, founded a fashion program at the school. She earned a bachelor’s degree in design, merchandising and textiles at Western Kentucky University and studied fashion design at Academia Italiana in Florence, Italy. (Pictured, above)

Sherry Smith has joined Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital as chief development officer. Smith brings more than 12 years of experience to her role. She previously worked for Washington University, the YMCA of Greater St. Louis and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Jane Harbron has been elected president of Assistance League of St. Louis. She will manage the all-volunteer, 400-person membership and the nonprofit’s six philanthropic programs and resale shop. She previously worked with IBM Consulting for 36 years.

Haven of Grace announces Andrea Vent as its new executive director. Before joining the nonprofit, which offers a safe home and long-term support for mothers and their children, Vent worked for Epworth Children and Family Services, Support Dogs, American Lung Association, Great Circle and Isabel’s House.
