Plaza’s three founders, Dolan, Scott Bensinger and Thomas Briggs, once worked for a large San Francisco firm. “We came here to open an office for them, but eventually decided to start a smaller company of our own—one that would focus on client needs instead of marketing.” Partner Judy Rubin, who is especially passionate about helping women take control of their finances, joined in 2011.
