st. louis county library | The library recently received a $25,500 grant from Delta Dental of Missouri. The funds will help support the Born to Read program, which distributes materials that include oral health information to parents of infants at local hospitals.

On behalf of the Kaufman Fund, Howard Berliner (left) distributed coats, hats, gloves and socks at St. Patrick Center’s Freedom Place. This winter, the fund donated 100 pieces of outerwear to help homeless veterans.

The hunger relief nonprofit recently received two Flex Farm hydroponic growing systems from UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Missouri and Fork Farms. The energy-efficient, vertical indoor farms each produce around 25 pounds of produce each month, allowing OFS to provide fresh food for 1,900 families annually.

Leaders recently broke ground on the new 5,500-square-foot facilities. Part of the Health & Homes WestFlo District, the new clinic will offer expanded hours and unique features to help increase access to health care, including a community classroom and nourishment center.
