The Clayton gallery hosted an opening for its new Henri Matisse exhibit, which includes lesser-known examples of the famous French artist’s work. The exhibit, which runs through June 1, includes 51 drawings, lithographs, etchings, drypoints, aquatints and linocuts. Along with Pablo Picasso, Matisse is considered one of the leaders of early 20th-century art.

The national organization is all about doing good wherever it can, and it recently created lots of smiles in U. City by teaming up with various partners to donate new brass instruments to University City High School and build 62 new bicycles for first-graders at Barbara C. Jordan Elementary School.

The nonprofit celebrated its 20th anniversary during the annual Tribute to Success luncheon at The Ritz-Carlton, which coincided with International Women’s Day. Keynote speaker Sharon Price John, president and CEO of Build- A-Bear, headlined the event, titled ‘Celebrating Women through Extraordinary Stories.’
