The Emerson Children’s Zoo (pictured at top) celebrated its 50th year of helping young animal lovers connect with nature. The area is home to nearly 300 animals and includes playgrounds and a farm-play area.

Residents, families, staff and local dignitaries gathered to celebrate the senior living community’s 15th anniversary. Three celebrations were held, all featuring live music, food and cocktails, and Creve Coeur Mayor Barry Glantz (right) presented co-owner Charlie Deutsch with a proclamation in recognition of the milestone.

The organization recently honored Dr. Judy Kamper (second from left) for 30 years of service as district facilitator for its intergenerational tutoring program in Kirkwood that pairs older volunteers with children in kindergarten through third grade. Since she started in 1989, Kamper has supported more than 540 tutors in area elementary schools.
As part of the company’s 18th annual PetCare Pride Day, employees assisted with dozens of community projects. In St. Louis alone, more than 1,400 volunteers contributed nearly 4,000 hours of service.
