Market Know-How: The Realty Shop St. Louis

Even for the most experienced professionals, the current real estate market is unlike anything seen in previous years. “The demand for homes was already high, but COVID-19, politics and inflation have only exacerbated the situation,” says Amanda Alejandro-Steinback, president of The Realty Shop, a division of Vue Enterprises. “It’s now more important than ever that you work with a real estate advocate who knows the market.” With more than 15 years of residential real estate experience, she brings her expertise to the Creve Coeur-based brokerage, which helps clients navigate every step of the home buying and selling process.

According to Alejandro-Steinback, it’s important that both buyers and sellers understand their own limited grasp of the market. “The best advice I can give is to understand that you don’t know what you don’t know,” she notes. “It’s important to start talking to an expert early and often. Whether your timeline is 90 days or five years, you should start interviewing agents well in advance, so you can find a trusted resource with the knowledge necessary for success. It’s a crazy time, especially for luxury properties, but if you approach it the right way, you can use this market to your advantage.”

The Realty Shop is one the fastest growing brokerages in St. Louis. Locally owned and operated, it also has a strong understanding of the community and the St. Louis market. “We aren’t part of a national franchise that is disconnected from the local market,” Alejandro-Steinback says. “We can act as an advocate and resource for clients because we have our own market share.” That type of knowledge is especially important when inventory is low, as it is now. The Realty Shop knows which listings will be available before they officially are on the market, giving buyers an advantage over the competition.

For the brokerage and its knowledgeable team members, the focus is on innovating and redefining the current real estate landscape to make it more person-focused. It is dedicated to meeting clients’ needs using both a personal touch and the latest cutting-edge technology. “Our technology is robust, so we can better serve both clients and our agents,” Alejandro-Steinback notes. “When you work with The Realty Shop, you communicate with one person throughout every step of your sale. We even go as far as setting up utilities and movers for you. The only thing you have to worry about is arriving at your new home.”

While The Realty Shop is a boutique brokerage, Alejandro-Steinback notes the term doesn’t mean the firm should be perceived as small or limited. She and her husband, Jay Steinback, founded Vue Enterprises in 2018 to offer a one-stop shop for both buyers and sellers to access all necessary services without having to visit multiple providers. “We offer a full range of real estate-related services including title, mortgage and insurance,” she says. “There are so many ways to buy or sell a house today, and oftentimes, it can be difficult to know what is the best approach. We streamline the process, offering pricing transparency and eliminating confusion.”
