Brown Shoe Company has a new name as part of its rebranding initiative. Now operating as Caleres, the company updated its logo to incorporate the Star-Five-Star mark, which it has used since 1885 to illustrate its commitment to the perfect fit. Also announced was a 2016 launch of men’s footwear line, Brown Shoe Bootmakers. Its portfolio of brands includes Sam Edelman, Franco Sarto, Diane von Furstenberg and Carlos Santana, among others.
After being a mainstay on McPherson Avenue for 23 years, Arlene Lilie Interior Design has packed up and moved to Ladue. The new location at 9740 Clayton Road will carry more small accessories, decorative pillows, beach towels, rugs and throws, as well as more designs by Christian LaCroix. The store also soon will offer its designer wall coverings and fabrics to the public. It will continue to feature contemporary and traditional furniture, antiques, fine art, mirrors, lighting and custom upholstery.
Capitol Group Kitchen & Bath Design Center has moved to a new 4,500-square-foot showroom at 1410 Strassner Drive in Brentwood. The new space includes a functioning kitchen and working faucet display, along with cabinet displays. The family company, which offers kitchen and bath products for remodels and new construction, was established in 1946 in Springfield, Illinois. Its original location still operates there.
St. Louis Artists’ Guild will celebrate its new location at 7447 Forsyth Blvd. with opening week festivities May 30 through June 6. The first exhibit in the new space is Move! by New Regionalism artist Bryan Haynes.

Metro Lighting has earned two Energy Star Awards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The Partner of the Year Award recognizes its efforts to raise awareness about climate change, and the Award for Excellence is for its promotion of energy-efficient products. The company was honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., in April.
