Crushed Red has gone green. The chain, founded in Clayton, is repurposing ingredients from its salad chopping line to create a 100 percent vegan, gluten-free pizza crust that embraces a zero-waste philosophy. It debuted last month at the Creve Coeur location with the BrocStar pizza.

A big shout out to the square beyond compare! Imo’s Pizza opened its 100th St. Louis-area restaurant in Affton. The location is managed by Frank Imo Jr., grandson of founders Ed and Margie Imo.
