critical help | There are estimated to be only 20 American red wolves left in the wild. To help this critically endangered species, the Saint Louis Zoo is creating a conservation habitat in Franklin County where 24 red wolves will live and breed in a protected natural setting.

Local artist collective Saint Louis Story Stitchers was awarded $500,000 from the Lewis Prize for Music, a philanthropic arts organization dedicated to advancing systemic change through creative development. The collective is composed of professional artists and minority youth who create change by reframing community stories through art, writing and performance. 


A new initiative is giving local businesses the chance to operate a brick-and-mortar storefront rent-free for three months. Pop Local is the brainchild of Edwards Realty, which will give one small retailer a 1,389-square-foot space in The Boulevard shopping center. Applications are being accepted through Feb. 19.


Circus Harmony alum and St. Louis native Sidney Iking Bateman has moved from the circus ring to the wrestling ring! He recently made his debut on WWE Smackdown as Reginald Thomas.
