In commemoration of the anniversary of the devastating 2025 tornado, a 30-minute documentary has been produced. Directed by Cami Thomas in partnership with 314 Oasis, Red Brick Blue Tarp captures the storm’s immediate aftermath, documenting how residents, volunteers and grassroots organizations became the backbone of relief and recovery efforts. 


Congratulations to Missouri Botanical Garden president and director Lúcia Lohmann! She received the 27th Robert R. Hermann World Ecology Award from the Whitney R. Harris World Ecology Center at the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The award recognizes eminent individuals who have made significant contributions to the protection of the global environment and to promoting a better understanding of the balance between human habitation and the Earth’s biodiversity.

The Saint Louis Zoo kicked off the public phase of a $170 million fundraising effort aimed at supporting two of the most ambitious projects in the organization’s 116-year history. The “Better Wild, Better World” campaign will grow the zoo’s impact through the Saint Louis Zoo WildCare Park and the Henry A. Jubel Foundation Destination Discovery. The campaign has already secured more than $152 million in private support.


Prepare to pirouette! The Saint Louis Ballet has announced its 2026/27 season. Along with fan favorites like The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Giselle, it will include exciting works from contemporary choreographers Justin Peck, Christopher Wheeldon and artistic director Gen Horiuchi.
