The Contemporary Art Museum invites you to share your reflections on art and the COVID-19 experience. Through Aug. 23, After Shelter allows museum visitors to record their stories within Derek Fordjour’s installation SHELTER. The recordings will be archived by StoryCorps at the American Folklife Center in the Library of Congress.

Congrats to mama Rani! On July 6, the Asian elephant gave birth to a male calf—the first to be born at the Saint Louis Zoo in 27 years. Mother and baby are doing well and currently bonding out of public view.


The St. Louis Shakespeare Festival has postponed its performances for this year, but fans of the Bard have a new experience to look forward to. Running from Aug. 12 to Sept. 6, A Late Summer Night’s Stroll is a 90-minute walking tour in Forest Park that takes guests on a journey that features art, music, dance and more. The experience is free, but registration is required. 


Crispy Edge is putting a fun twist on a local favorite: Dogtown Pizza. Its new Dogtown potsticker consists of parmesan and oregano dough filled with the pizzeria’s Italian sausage, pizza sauce and cheese blend. You can find it in the freezer section of local grocery stores, including Schnucks and Straub’s Markets.


Healthworks! Kids’ Museum St. Louis is helping educators and families teach kids how they can protect and improve their health. Its new virtual classroom includes videos, games, activities and books on subjects like anatomy, hygiene, nutrition, physical activity, oral health, sleep, mental and  emotional health, and medical careers.
