[sweet celebrations] Sweet Celebrations, a volunteer-led nonprofit that organizes birthday festivities for homeless children, has thrown its 100th party. The young girl who was lucky No. 100 got to celebrate with an elaborate St. Louis Blues cake.

[launchcode] LaunchCode, a St. Louis-based nonprofit that offers skills training and job placement for careers in technology, hosted an all-women coding event. More than 250 women of all backgrounds and skill levels attended to learn how to code and support women in technology.
