Sweet Celebrations, a volunteer-led nonprofit that organizes birthday festivities for homeless children, has thrown its 100th party. The young girl who was lucky No. 100 got to celebrate with an elaborate St. Louis Blues cake.

The St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness board elected new officers for 2015, including Lisa Sienkiewicz as president. SLOCA is committed to promoting awareness, funding and research about the disease, and supporting survivors.

LaunchCode, a St. Louis-based nonprofit that offers skills training and job placement for careers in technology, hosted an all-women coding event. More than 250 women of all backgrounds and skill levels attended to learn how to code and support women in technology.
