from the homeowner | Whether it’s the spacious backyard with plenty of room to play, the screened-in porch that’s perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or the bathrooms designed to accommodate individuals with mobility issues, 1210 Devonworth Drive has something for every member of the family. The Town and Country home also offers easy access to schools, shopping, restaurants and more—all while tucked safely inside a gated community.
What are the benefits of the home’s locations?
It’s very close to both interstates 40 and 270, so you can get anywhere in 10 to 15 minutes. You have easy access to shopping, restaurants, medical care and whatever else you may need. The home is in a gated community, so it comes with a lot of safety and security. We’ve loved our neighbors, but we also have enough space for privacy.
What are some of the standout features?
We wanted the house to feel like a home, not a museum. We just love the space that the layout offers. It’s all very open. We also designed it with accessibility in mind. There is an elevator that serves all three floors, and the bathrooms have room so people with wheelchairs or mobility issues can easily navigate them. It’s ideal if parents or in-laws stay with you. The house is wired for state-of-the-art technology, including charging ports in the garage for both a Tesla and other models.
How is the home for entertaining?
It’s great. We’ve loved bringing people together to make memories. The kitchen is very large with a nine-foot island, and it flows into the hearth room. The living spaces are open to the porch and deck, so you can very easily host 40 or 50 people without feeling crowded. The lot is an acre, so the yard is big and open. We hosted a lot of birthday parties out there, and there is a lot of space for kids to play. We’re not pool people, but it would be very easy to install one.
Do you have a favorite space?
The interior is great, but our favorite room is probably the screened-in porch. You can watch beautiful sunsets without having to worry about the bugs. We didn’t want a four-season room because we still wanted to experience the weather and outdoors.
What do you most want the next homeowners to know?
Whether it’s another family or an individual, we just want them to enjoy it as much as we have. This house has been perfect for our family. We hope the next homeowners will take care of it because it will take care of them.
