from the homeowner | Situated on more than 1.6 acres in Creve Coeur, 17 Balcon Estates is a striking property. But for the current homeowners, it is first and foremost a place where they made many happy memories with their family. “We take pride in our home’s curb appeal as it sits prominently at the highest point of the street, but the most enjoyable part of living here is the privacy of the backyard by the swimming pool and fire pit, where we gather with friends and family,” they note. “The grandkids splashing in the pool waterfalls or running around the spacious backyard are fond memories that we will always cherish.”
What do you like about the neighborhood?
We love a quiet existence, therefore we appreciated the fact that we are next to the tranquil Covenant Theological seminary whose residents are so respectful of their neighbors. We only had good experiences with the rest of our neighbors. We enjoyed early morning walks around our neighborhood, away from traffic.
How is the home for entertaining?
There is a large, free-form designed patio with a stone walkway that leads to the inground pool, complete with water features, fire bowls and an expansive pool deck. The outdoor area is truly a private park-like setting, with plenty of green space for a play gym and pickle ball or other sport courts.
Did you make any changes to the property?
This is a custom built 1.5-story home on a 1.61-acre lot in the Balcon Estates subdivision, which is in the Parkway school district. No detail was overlooked.
Do you have a favorite room or space?
Our favorite room in the house is the sitting area of the room upstairs overlooking the swimming pool.
Is there anything you want the future homeowner to know?
There’s more than 7,200 square feet of living space, including a finished lower level and ample outdoor living space.
