The socially distanced event included 16 finalists who had advanced from preliminary grade-level and wild card rounds. Between live matches, viewers enjoyed contestant interviews, bracket analysis, speeches from the coaches and an Indiana Jones-inspired re-enactment.

Three students from the school were recognized for their creative endeavors by the Scholastic Art Awards. Anna Barr (center) received an honorable mention for digital art, Norah Rohlfing (right) was awarded a Gold Key for drawing and illustration, and Sadie Coalier (left) received a Gold Key for painting. In February, Principia Upper School hosted the first high school mediation tournament in the United States. The virtual event also featured students from Thomas Jefferson School and Jefferson High School, and it included a panel of volunteer judges and mentors from around the U.S. and Lithuania. Students took turns in the roles of mediator client and advocate while the panel assessed their ability to work collaboratively, listen, guide parties toward a resolution, adapt and pivot quickly, and advocate for their ideas.Â
