Nathaniel Reid Bakery is growing! The Kirkwood favorite has renovated an additional 1,000 square feet of production space below the bakery that will allow chef Reid to double his output and increase catering capabilities. The new space is opening just in time for the holiday season and includes expanded refrigerator capacity, dry storage, and production stations for bread and viennoiserie teams.

Sweetology is offering something new for anyone 21 and over. The Cordial Cupcake of the Month program brings a different alcohol-infused baked treat to the shop for a limited time. Stop in this month for a Sabra (chocolate-orange liqueur) cupcake, or get in the holiday spirit with an eggnog offering in December.

Cooler temps and shorter days may have arrived in the StL, but you’ll still want to stop by Narwhal’s Crafted frozen cocktail bar. It’s launched a new fall-inspired menu that includes frozen drinks and hot cocktails. The owners also recently shared something new they’re cooking up, a sister concept called Loaded. The restaurant will focus on nachos that offer a unique take on a variety of cuisines. Plans are for a brick-and-mortar location (undisclosed at the moment) to open in mid-2020.

A local fave is making its way to the Lone Star State. Dogtown Pizza is expanding into Central Market, a Texas-based grocery chain with locations in Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Houston, Fort Worth, Plano and South Lake.

It is expected to open late next year. … South Grand’s vibrant international food scene has welcomed its first Mexican restaurant. Located at 3131 S. Grand, Alta Calle is serving up elevated street food from chefs Tello Carreón and Steve Suarez.
