Ruth’s Chris Clayton is reprising its popular Friday lunches. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays, the scrumptious steakhouse offers an enticing menu of steaks, sandwiches and more, including a 30-minute lunch lineup for $15. How does Veal Osso Buco Ravioli sound? Or Short Rib Pasta? A menu of handcrafted cocktails, $12 each, might just bring back the two-martini lunch!
hot & cold treat
Boardwalk Waffles & Ice Cream recently opened at 7326B Manchester Road in Maplewood. Owners Eric and Laurie Moore wanted to bring the East Coast treat—the waffle sandwich—to the Lou. Look for the classic treat, chicken and waffles, to be added soon, and a food truck in the future.

Happy 75th to Pat’s Tavern in Dogtown, otherwise known as The Pat Connolly Tavern, 6400 Oakland Ave (pictured above). It has gone through several owners since its founding in 1942, and is now run by Connolly’s grandson, Joe Jovanovich. The neighborhood landmark is believed to have been one of the first full-service pubs in Dogtown.
