a sweet comeback
Last March, extensive fire damage forced Gelateria Coffee Co. on South Grand to close indefinitely. Owners Andy and Amanda Fair have shared their plan to restore and expand the beloved spot. Gelateria Coffee Co’s neighbor, The Orpheum, decided to close permanently after the fire, and the Fairs purchased the building. The demolition phase of the project began last month, and the cafe is aiming for an early 2027 reopening.
