My house is fine, but I wonder about the color of the shutters, door, cantilevered balcony, etc. The trees are already trimmed back somewhat. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Your house already looks great, with many charming details and features. I like the maroon color of the front door, and I would suggest painting the faux balcony the same color.
As far as the shutters go, I suggest replacing them with wider versions that have solid panels and a ‘clover’ cut out to reinforce the cottage charm of the rest of the composition. Adding hinges and tie-backs will add to the authentic feel. A French blue lifts the spirit a bit.
I think the landscape also looks great. Just keep it clipped to its current look.
