Congrats to Nine PBS! The network is nominated for six Mid-America Emmy Awards. The winners will be announced Oct. 29 at the Mid-America National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences annual gala. At the event, Nine PBS executive producer Jim Kirchherr will be inducted into the Silver Circle in recognition of his significant contributions to TV.

Last month, the United Way of Greater St. Louis kicked off its 100th annual campaign. Running through November, the fundraiser will raise funds to support more than 160 local nonprofits. In its 100-year history, the organization has raised almost $3 billion to support the St. Louis community.
Saint Louis University and the Donald Danforth Plant Center are working to innovate how agricultural data is shared among the scientific community. Thanks to a $1,227,049 grant from the National Science Foundation, a cyber-physical system will be created to make data collection and processing easier to better understand how local climate change impacts agriculture.
