ride on! | Pedal the Cause presented a check for a record-breaking $5,003,916 to Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital to fund new research. Since 2011, the cycling fundraiser has donated almost $46 million, funding 211 projects centered on cancer treatment, cures, early detection and prevention.

Author Michael Vines, a St. Louis native, has published a new novel inspired by the life of his grandfather. Harry Gets Wise follows Harry Becker, a young shoemaker from Poland, as he settles in St. Louis in 1919 and begins a pursuit of the American dream, which is complicated by world events and his own personal experiences.


Arch Grants has awarded $1,875,000 in non-dilutive grants to its 2023 cohort. Each of the 22 members, will receive $75,000 plus access to resources. Since 2012, Arch Grants has awarded $16.4 million to help 250 early-stage businesses grow in St. Louis.
