Has developing Clementine’s created opportunities to travel? If so, what’s your favorite destination?
I love to travel any chance I get. In fact, that is where a lot of my flavor inspiration comes from. My favorite place to visit is Paris.

When traveling, you often dress to match the destination. Do you have a favorite theme?
I really like Texas. Sometimes, that means not a full suit. This spring, I got some really nice sports coats that have the suede patches on the shoulders and elbows. Pairing those with nice jeans, a belt buckle, button down, bolo tie and cowboy hat is a clean casual look. I like getting flashier on California trips and coming to Miami in a nice tan suit with a straw hat.

Have you ever wondered “What am I doing here” on a trip?
We hiked to Machu Picchu, and I had altitude sickness. I couldn’t breath and was so anxious. We actually had another South American hike planned, but the night before the last day, I sat up and told my husband, “This is it! This is the last time I’m doing one of your crazy trips!” We started hiking at five in the morning, and when we reached Machu Picchu, it was so joyous. I gave my husband a big hug and thanked him, but in the middle of it, I wanted to kill him.

Favorite place to travel when it’s not for baseball.
Yountville in the Napa Valley area. It’s just beautiful. I find it relaxing.
Favorite place to travel for baseball.
Since we play in the central league, most cities are fun to visit. My two favorites are Chicago and Pittsburgh. The latter has a lot of great golf, and it’s easy to get around.
