The St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Lutz Humanitarian Award. The award recognizes individuals and organizations who personify the spirit of Carl Lutz, a Swiss diplomat who resided in St. Louis and was involved in rescue efforts in Budapest during the Second World War. Nurses for Newborns will receive $2 million from Yield Giving. The organization in March 2023 launched an open call for community-led organizations that provide foundational resources to individuals and families, receiving more than 6,300 applications. Nurses for Newborns will use the funds to broaden its impact on maternal and newborn health initiatives.
