The 131st Annual Veiled Prophet Ball was held December 22nd at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, where a new ‘Queen of Love and Beauty’ was crowned and 56 young women were honored for their service to the community and made their formal entrance into society. More than 2,000 friends and family members looked on as the Veiled Prophet crowned as his Queen, Miss Charlotte Capen Jones, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Meredith C. Jones III (Corinne). The retiring queen is Miss Merrill Clark Hermann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miss Jones is a graduate of Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS) and is currently a college sophomore majoring in Government with a minor in Business In addition, six Special Maids were also honored: Miss Anna Danforth Stillman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Stillman (Mary); Miss Madison Elizabeth Hetlage, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Hetlage (Lynda); Miss Lily Valentine Reisinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. “Buddy” Reisinger (Jeana); Miss Katherine McDonnell Abbott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory T. Stevens (Marcella); Miss Eleanor Marre George, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy O. George (Julie); and Miss Megan Theresa Fox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Fox (Merle).
