Message from the Head of School:
We are excited to share with you what makes Kirk Day School a truly amazing educational experience.
First, at Kirk Day School, every child is known and loved. This is because every child is an image-bearer of the Creator. We believe KDS to be a place of joy, that is life giving to the whole student and the whole family.
Second, we strive to have an unwavering commitment to excellent academics, coupled with a passion for Jesus Christ. Our desire is that as our students experience education, they will see God’s fingerprints in all subject matter. This philosophy has allowed KDS to continue to have a rich spiritual life, while receiving the highest commendations for academic excellence in our accreditations and yearly testing results.
Third, we believe in creating life-long learners. Through caring and engaging faculty, we hope to equip students with inspiring and insightful instruction. We want our students to experience a deeper enjoyment and appreciation of the learning process.
Overview:
Kirk Day School, an independent, co-educational Christian school nestled in the heart of Town and Country, serves 290 students ages 3 through grade 6. Established in 1992, KDS is distinguished by the strength of its proven academic program grounded in a Christian worldview. Graduates excel academically, participate actively, and engage the world with a strong spiritual foundation.
The curriculum meets the educational goals of each student, including the academically gifted who are further challenged through individualized instruction and dynamic learning programs. KDS students experience the benefits of small classes, foreign languages, a wide variety of extracurricular activities in athletics, technology, and the arts. Kirk Day School’s warm and diverse community draws students from over 32 zip codes and 60 churches.
Academic Excellence:
Ranked in the top 10% of Christian schools in America, Kirk Day School sets the benchmark for academic excellence within the Christian elementary school community. Through a challenging and proven curriculum, students are provided with the educational foundations necessary to succeed with excellence at the secondary school level. Kirk Day School not only prepares students to meet the academic rigors of college preparatory high schools but also endows them with the Biblical foundations necessary to navigate the moral and spiritual decisions they will inevitably encounter.
Results:
Results of a Kirk Day School education can be found within the performance of its graduates:
• 95% of alumni attend selective private high schools upon graduation
• 70% of alumni graduate high school with academic honors
• 12 out of the past 19 years a Kirk Day School alumni has been named Valedictorian or Salutatorian of their high school graduating class
