Amini’s Home, Rugs & Game Room offers just about everything a family needs for comfort and joy. The Chesterfield Valley gallery can outfit a game room or home theater with everything from pool tables and bars to cushy seating for between-play breaks.
Located just south of Highway 40, the sizeable showroom offers nearly any type of home entertainment, rug, furnishing or lighting product you can imagine. CEO Arash Amini says this is the season when families are particularly interested in investing in large, home-based merchandise, especially multiplayer games that encourage bonding time.
“We have ping-pong tables, dartboards, game tables, pool tables, pinball machines and more—all kinds of fun activities that are about togetherness,” he says. Many items can be ordered in custom configurations and colors. Games and furniture with St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and Mizzou themes are especially popular holiday presents, Amini notes.
Convenience is another watchword at the store, which is part of the company founded in Oklahoma City by Amini’s father, Mack. The showroom floor is configured just like rooms in a home. You can experience exactly how furnishings will look and feel, instead of browsing rows of chairs or trying to choose a pool table from a catalog.
“And we’re always expanding our line and updating the store,” Amini adds. “If you were here six months ago, you will notice it’s a completely different place today.” He and his staff attend at least 15 national merchandise events each year to ensure they’re on top of the hottest trends, he says. Soon, a new outdoor furniture vendor will set up space at the store.
A second-floor gallery offers upholstered chairs and sofas, leather furniture, bars and stools, cocktail tables, light fixtures and more. “If you’re going to spend a few thousand dollars on a beautiful sectional, you want to be able to choose from 300 fabrics, and touch, feel and sit on the furniture,” Amini says. “We have experienced interior designers who know the products well. Bring your home blueprints, room colors and pictures to our design center—we’ll help put it all together.”
Special promotions for the holidays include an ‘Amini Money’ program and a price match guarantee. “Amini Money is our largest sale of the year,” the CEO notes. When you buy an item, you earn money toward another. You can use it for any second product, which could even end up being free. “For example, you might buy a sectional, then choose an air hockey table as a gift for your kids,” Amini says. The price match program is a popular draw. “People know that when they buy here, they won’t have to shop around and worry if they’re finding the best price, especially at this busy time of year.”
Once you’ve chosen your new items, store staff will deliver them, set them up in your home and show you how to use them. “We know time gets tight at the holidays, and people shop at the last minute,” Amini says. “We’ll help you figure it out.”
